Who we are

The ERF was formed from the merger of the Emsworth Residents Association (ERA) and the Emsworth Forum.  The ERA was a long-established membership organisation aiming to represent the interests of the whole community.  The Forum was established using powers granted by the Localism Act 2011, with the objective of developing a Neighbourhood Plan for Emsworth.  The Plan was approved by referendum in 2021.

Noting that the organisations had similar objects, overlapping memberships and complementary strengths, a meeting of the two memberships in January 2023 approved a proposal to merge.
